In a Nutshell: My photography is built on narrative, on understanding what makes moments matter and how each moment connects to a larger story. Your story.
Good photographers understand the technical aspects of light and composition. I’ve studied all of that, and know it well, but great photography is more than a pretty picture—it’s a story… shown, not told. And I have always loved a great story. I’ve developed my understanding of storytelling across a wide-ranging background, learning along the way to find the narrative, whatever the context: as an engineer and bridge builder, as an MBA and business strategy consultant, as a writer and creative producer, and as a photographer. That understanding directly shapes my work behind the camera.
I know how to develop that story within the larger context of your goals and infuse that story into every choice I make as an artist. The result: headshots that reflect your authentic self, documentation that captures the soul of an event, portraits that will carry the beating heart of your family into the future as legacy items, and branding that truly represents your business. I approach it all the same way—storyteller first, photographer second.
